Description

Pure alfalfa; simply grown, dehydrated, chopped and pressed into naturally protein, fibre and nutrient rich pellets with no additives.

A high-fibre source for horses, ponies and other animals, such as cattle, sheep, goats, camelids as well as smaller pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs, Alflora Alfalfa Pellets provide the perfect forage base.

Alflora uses high quality ingredients to harness the power of nature and is completely GMO-free. Alflora crops are cultivated without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticide treatments and irrigation. We preserve the alfalfa’s unique nutritional properties: providing protein, minerals, lipids, vitamins, pro-vitamins and polyunsaturated fats (omega-3 and omega-6) in one handy pellet.

  • HIGH QUALITY PROTEINS. Worldwide research in animal nutrition proves the high quality of alfalfa protein; improving quality of milk, meat and eggs as well as overall health. That makes it an efficient forage, reducing the requirement of diet supplements, for more economical farming.
  • HIGH NUTRIENT AVAILABILITY. The production and storage process of our product preserves the natural nutrient complement of the plant. Beta carotene is a precursor of Vitamin A, promoting health and good performance. Alfalfa pellets are a natural and recognised source of: Fibre, Vitamin E, Calcium, Sulphur-containing amino acids, Selenium, and Potassium.
  • FIBRE SOURCE. Alfalfa is a superior and concentrated fibre source due to a lower proportion of cell walls and a higher proportion of digestible carbohydrates and protein. Therefore, alfalfa can be consumed in larger quantities than most forages.
  • CAN BE SOAKED. For older animals and those who struggle to chew, Alflora Alfalfa Pellets can be soaked and softened before feeding. Using either hot (15 mins soak time) or cool water (around 2 hours), the pellets can be soaked to produce a mash on a 1:3, pellet to water ratio.

STORAGE
Best kept indoors in a dry, dark, cool area, free from excessive humidity and vermin.
