Description

Composed of first-cut forage from pastures of mixed grasses and legumes.

A high energy forage for grazing animals including horses, ponies and other animals, such as cattle, sheep, goats, camelids as well as smaller pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs, Alflora Ryegrass Pellets are naturally low in starch and sugars.

Alflora uses high quality ingredients to harness the power of nature and is completely GMO-free. Alflora crops are cultivated without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticide treatments and irrigation. The quality forage is selected, before being simply suncured or dehydrated, cut and pressed into pellets through a mechanical process that involves no chemical additives or glues.We preserve the ryegrass’ natural nutritional properties in one handy pellet.

  • NATURALLY NUTRITIOUS. Our pellets contain a high content of cellulose, good levels of crude protein and lysine (essential amino acid), low levels of starch and sugar, proper Calcium to Phosphorus ratio and comprises a high-energy content compared to other roughage.   • HIGH NUTRIENT AVAILABILITY. The production and storage process of our product preserves the natural nutrient complement of the plant. We do not use any chemical additives or glues in the composition of our pellets, just pure ryegrass.
  • CAN BE SOAKED. For older animals and those who struggle to chew, Alflora Ryegrass Pellets can be soaked and softened before feeding. Using either hot (15 mins soak time) or cool water (around 2 hours), the pellets can be soaked to produce a mash on a 1:3, pellet to water ratio.

Usage Guide

FEEDING GUIDE
Suitable for equines, bovines, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, poultry and small animals/pets.

BEDDDING GUIDE
Distribute the desired quantity. Remove the dirty parts daily and replace as needed. Every 20 days remove completely, clean the floor and distribute clean pellets. For broilers and turkeys distribute a uniform layer thick minimum 1,5 cm (about 7-8 kg/sqm). Increase the quantity in case of big birds (eg. ostriches) to about 10 kg/sqm. No need to move it manually, poultry’s natural movements keep the bedding dry. Every 60 days remove bedding competely and replace with new clean pellets or straw.

STORAGE
Best kept indoors in a dry, dark, cool area, free from excessive humidity and vermin.
